Semi-Final Two

Four contestants took their seats for the second Krypton Factor semi-final, in a bid to secure their place in the final. The winners of the last three heats, plus the highest-scoring loser from the series, battled it out in a tense contest. The series’ top scoring runner-up, Pete Thompson, 29, could have been seen by some as an outsider to win the semi-final, but he was determined to show he deserved his place.

GP Emily Lees won the Mental Agility round, but Pete hit back straight away, winning the next two rounds. His performance on the Assault Course was particularly impressive, as he inched past Chris Barstow on the Raft Pull and sprinted over the finish line to secure first place.

Going into the final round, a reassuring ten points separated Pete from his nearest rival. He proceeded to steam even further ahead and finished with an incredible Krypton Factor of 38. Malcolm MacKinnon, meanwhile, sneaked past Chris in the last few seconds and snatched a highest runner-up place in the 2010 Krypton Factor final. Pete was delighted to prove that he wasn’t just there to make up the numbers. All eyes are now on the final, which is shaping up to be a gripping battle. Don’t miss it!
